Tracing the steps of a mamabear who became a palate prodigy! - Melissa Buxton
A mother of two kids would hardly find any time for herself—all the mother geese out there would nod in agreement! On one hand, you would be chuckling at your newborn’s adorable chaos, grateful for their presence.
On the other hand (well, this might be the only hand you have free now), you would be sneaking bites into your mouth to keep up with the whirlwind of parenthood!
To be absolutely candid, there is a gamut of emotions that you experience—you feel like you’re riding a rollercoaster every day with those butterflies in your stomach but a headache waiting at the finish line.
I’ve been there, and there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. After all, no one comes loaded with parental skills: you start by feeling overwhelmed; you learn to clutch at whatever is being thrown to you until you develop your moves to twirl, sway, and swish effortlessly with the crown of motherhood on your head.
This is the time when you can sauté away your worries and savour the luxury of having a hobby without feeling guilty (I know that some of us may experience a dash of selfishness to choose self-care, but that’s okay).
So here’s the scoop: I am thrilled to announce that I am there: I am now in possession of a hobby. Turns out, I have developed a knack for cooking scrumptious meals—while this has been a routine activity for me because, duh, kids need to be fed!
But I have travelled at lengths to hone my skills. And now, I am here – weaving “wordly magic” for you all dear mommies – affirming that with a pinch of patience and a sprinkle of persistence, you can shimmer a comforting meal.
