Ghouls, ghosts, goblins .... Mood = Halloween

Halloween is one of these 'celebrations' that seems so out of touch with reality and something more comical than it really should be. The history of something can be so dramatic, and you have to wonder where everything came from. I wrote about it in a previous blog post last year which is very interesting.


Either way, Halloween is MY FAVOURITE celebration as it lets you be young again and dress up like a five year old. Nothing Ghoulish and Scary about my costume tonight,,,, I am going as a chef!

This year i decided to go a little less history and a little more fun and made some lovely little cupcakes for a big kids party i am hosting for a client of mine. The recipe is my base for my red velvet just omitting the cocoa and the red colouring. The icing is simply icing sugar mixed with water till you have just the right consistency. Dip and then coat with any topping you like.

Makes for lovely decorative and bright cupcakes. Great for trick or treating!
